CariVu
We are pleased to feature the CariVu technology. This device is a new approach to identifying cavities and cracks that utilizes transillumination to confirm the presence of lesions and cracks. This unique cavity detector allows the clinician to see through the tooth exposing its structure and that of any carious lesions with very high accuracy. Even better, it allows us to share these images with our patients so they better understand their diagnosis. For those patients who prefer to not have X-rays taken, CariVu is an alternative diagnostic method with which they can be comfortable.

Dexis Digital X-Ray
The ability to see subtleties using digital radiography is crucial to diagnosis, collaboration, and patient communication. Through our combination of advanced hardware and software technologies, our office is able to deliver clinically meaningful images that are extremely clear and highly detailed. Digital X-Ray technology minimizes patient radiation exposure over traditional x-rays and provides a vivid image that is easily retained in patient records.

IntraOral Camera
The intraoral camera is an amazing diagnostic tool for viewing different angles in the mouth that we would not have been able to just a few years ago. The camera gives us the ability to view the entire mouth on a monitor so that we can get a closer look at any potential issues or problems that may arise. It provides us vivid, live video with freeze and capture capabilities. In addition, the patient will have the ability to see for themselves first hand the same images we are seeing. These digital images are also excellent for gaining procedure acceptance from insurance companies.

Digital Impression Scanner
Digital impression scanners are devices for capturing direct optical impressions, in lieu of traditional plaster moldings. Similar to other three-dimensional (3D) scanners, they project a light source (laser or structured light) onto the dental arches. The 3D surface models of the dentogingival tissues are the result of the optical impression and are the ‘virtual’ alternative to traditional plaster models. Digital impressions reduce patient discomfort, are time-efficient and simplify clinical procedures for the dentist. Digital impression scanners are quite accurate in capturing impressions for fabricating a whole series of prosthetic restorations (inlays/onlays, copings and frameworks, single crowns and fixed partial dentures) on both natural teeth and implants; in addition, they can be used for smile design, and to fabricate posts and cores, removable partial prostheses and obturators.

Rotary Endodontics
Endodontics, more commonly known as root canal, is a procedure where the roots or nerves of the tooth are removed. This is often due to the fact that they are infected and the tooth is causing pain.

Rotary Endodontics is a way of performing the root canal utilizing a specific electrical hand piece. This tool often makes the process faster and allows the dentist to perform the process with greater ease.

Ultrasonic Cleaning
During ultrasonic dental cleaning, the clinician uses an instrument called an ultrasonic scaler. The scaler distributes ultrasonic vibrations to literally blast dental tartar off of your teeth. As the ultrasonic scaler vibrates, it produces sound waves to break apart stubborn calculus. Water flows out of the tip’s end to wash away debris. Although you won’t feel the vibrations or hear the sound waves, you’ll most likely notice that your teeth feel cleaner. More importantly, you will have significantly reduced the amount of plaque bacteria that causes most dental diseases.
